Played in a third-person perspective, players control protagonist Geralt of Rivia, a monster hunter known as a witcher, who sets out on a long journey through the Northern Kingdoms. In the game, players battle against the world's many dangers using swords and magic, while interacting with non-player characters and completing side quests and main missions to progress through the story. The game was met with critical acclaim and was a financial success, selling over 6 million copies in six weeks. The game won over 200 Game of the Year awards from various gaming websites, critics, and game award shows, including the Golden Joystick Awards and The Game Awards.

The Forest is a first-personopen world-survival horrorvideo game developed by Canadian company Endnight Games for Microsoft Windows and PlayStation 4. The game's pre-alpha version was released through Steam Early Access on May 30, 2014. The game takes place on a heavily forested island where the player character and a young child presumed to be the player's son are the survivors of a plane crash. The game is an open world sandbox, with no set missions or quests, empowering the player to make their own decisions for survival. Early reviews for the pre-alpha version were highly positive. The alpha is currently in a playable state with additional gameplay features planned and in development.

Two years after the events of the previous game, a new gang comes to the Washington, D.C. area to rob banks. The player takes control of one of the gang's twelve members and heists alone, with up to two AI players, as four player cooperative play, or some combination of the previous. Heists include robbing banks, jewellery stores, and armored cars, producing and distributing narcotics, stealing prototypes, art and artifact theft, rigging elections and framing corrupt politicians, taking on rival gangs, breaking into mercenary bases, prisons, and FBI facilities, enforcing protection rackets, and smuggling of guns and nuclear warheads. The game differs on the previous by allowing much more customization of the player and reworking its stealth mechanics.
An accompanying web series was produced to promote the game. The game was profitable from pre-orders aloneand received positive reviews. Payday 2: Crimewave Edition which offers improved graphics, new content and all previous DLCs, was released on June 12, 2015 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

The game is played from either a third-person or first-person view and its world is navigated on foot or by vehicle. Players control the three lead protagonists throughout the single-player mode, switching between them both during and outside of missions. The story is centred on the heist sequences, and many of the missions involve shooting and driving gameplay. Players who commit crimes may incite a response from law enforcement agencies, measured by a "wanted" system that governs the aggression of their response. Grand Theft Auto Online, the online multiplayer mode, lets up to 30 players explore the open world and engage in cooperative or competitive game matches.
Development began soon after Grand Theft Auto IV's release and was shared between many of Rockstar's studios worldwide. The development team drew influence from many of their previous projects such as Red Dead Redemptionand Max Payne 3, and designed the game around three lead protagonists to innovate on the core structure of its predecessors. Creating the open world constituted much of the development work, and several team members conducted field research around California to capture footage for the design team.
